The picture below was taken whilst cleaning a Karndean safety floor that was located in the entrance hall of a commercial building in Cambridge.
As you can see, with the correct products and procedure the Karndean floor cleaning and restoration was quite remarkable.
The staff initially thought the floor wasn’t that dirty, but it soon became apparent that in fact it was in a pretty poor state and were amazed how clean and new the Karndean floor looked after we’d been deep cleaned & sealed it using our specialist floor cleaning products.
Grout cleaning can make a huge difference to the finished look of your stone floor.
I was called by a Hotel in Cambridge, Essex to discuss cleaning Porcelain floor tiles and today went out to visit them.
On first impression I thought the grout would be grey and not too dirty, until I undertook a small test and discovered the original colour of the grout was white!
As you can see in the photo there seems to be two grout lines missing.
That is in fact the two grout lines I have cleaned and restored.
They are now back to their original colour after using our specialised grout cleaning products.
The management company I met with were very impressed with the results and the photos speak for themselves.
Cleaning stone on the exterior of your house can enhance the look of your home quite considerably.
If done correctly, using the right cleaning and sealing products, your exterior stone floor can stay looking as good as new for a long time to come.
In the 2 pictures below you can see the exterior entrance to our clients premises in Castlecamps, near Cambridge.
It is quite dull looking and in need of a thorough clean and colour enhancing treatment.
The results below show how deep restorative cleaning of this exterior stone and the application of a colour enhancing impregnating seal has bought this originally tired looking stone back to life and made the tiles stand out.
Restoring Terracotta Floor Tiles needs to be done by a specialist for the best results and we rose to the challenge when we were asked to test a small area of a terracotta floor in an old post office in Cambridge.
In the photograph below, the area of the terracotta floor has been cleaned and restored to show our customer how well the floor may respond to natural stone cleaning.
The second photograph below shows various sealants used on the terracotta floor.
The 3 tiles on the left have been sealed with a topical natural stone sealer.
The 3 in the middle with have been sealed with a impregnating stone sealer.
The 3 on the right have been left unsealed.
I couldn’t fit the job in for a couple of weeks so in the meantime the customer can not only see the benefit of having the terracotta quarry tiles sealed after cleaning, but can decide on the finish she prefers.
The final photograph below shows what the terracotta floor looks like after 3 weeks of use.
As you can see the topical seal looks far better than the impregnating seal in this instance and far far better than the tiles that had no sealer applied.
The customer decided to have the entire terracotta floor cleaned and sealed with a topical seal, thus restoring this great looking floor to its former glory.
